Microsoft re-launches Live Search as ‘Bing’ Microsoft.
Bing makes this possible for the people to search information quickly and use this information to complete tasks and make accurate decisions. It moves a step ahead in order to bring innovation in a search in a way that it not only helps the people navigate the Web to find information but also enables them to use the information they find. Bing is build after a profound understanding of how people really want to use the Web.
Bing will not be restricted to just Web search but it will also include Microsoft Virtual Earth, which has been re-branded Bing Maps, and Bing Travel, a service built from Microsoft’s achievement of Farecast, as well as Bing Health ,Bing Local, Bing Shopping, and Bing Cashback, formerly known as Live Search Cashback. Bing executed intelligent search, not just a simple search, and therefore is classified as a “Decision Engine” not a “search engine”. Decision engine is the most appropriate term of describing Bing.42% of the web users is unsatisfied with their initial search results. Microsoft tried to build a user interface that may solve this problem and get user satisfaction.
The total package seems related to current search leaders Google and Yahoo but the idea is to supply the most appropriate match. The first link will be to an official site then it will immediately be followed by specific related data. Bing clearly makes advancement in search engines but before it Ask.com argued to search results in “first ten links”.
There is much to like about Bing however as it is owned by Microsoft may be some people not use it as they will not like to touch anything created by Microsoft. But it should be appreciated because Bing is the best advance in search technology in the past few years. Although it is not 100% perfect but it is much better. You will find it good or bad after trying it and by “try” it doesn’t mean enter one search query and make up your mind, its means give Bing a solid week or two. You might just find that Bing satisfyingly surprises.
Bing’s User Interface is much pleasing when comparing with its competitors. You will find some neat refining options related to your search on the left and bottom of the screen. You can get further information about a web page, without actually leaving your search results just simply by moving your mouse over each search result and Bing will provide an expanded snippet–even drawing meta data, if available. If you want to search some video, click the “Videos” tab and you’ll not only get video results, but you can mouse over each thumbnail and it plays right there and then! It’s really amazing and easy. The notable thing about Bing is that it has been able to narrow the gap between Goolge and Live Search. Just experience it to explore its features.
