Face book Live Stream Box Introduces Real-Time Chat on Any Site

Formerly, Facebook launched the Facebook Comments Box for Facebook connect as on Feb 20, 2009, which gives ability to webmasters to add a fully featured comment system on their website. Now, it is launching a new “Live Stream Box” feature with which Facebook Pages are allowed to present their own live video and chat area. Live Stream Box can be used by any website owner or developer to enable Facebook users to connect, share, and post updates in real-time just like as they view an event online. This stream box is a part of the Facebook Connect program that means any Web site can now add Facebook conversations by adding a few lines of code to their sites.

With the help of Facebook Connect, it is possible for members by using their Facebook identity to sign into other websites, but its new Live Stream Box takes it one step forward in a sense that you can add live comments to real-time events. Live Stream Box is generally perfect for site owners because they need to add the feature to pages hosting, live event coverage, live video streams, mass-mutiplayer games, live seminars where people get advantage from real – time sharing information.

According to facebook team, they started testing this feature during the 2009 US Presidential Inauguration, at that time they ran online updates and comments. The same video was also running on CNN’s website. They were very happy on their achievement because what their friends were saying is seeing not only on Facebook, but also on CNN.com. And now this feature is launched wholly as that it can be added to any website where real-time user interaction is required.

Live Stream Box can carry millions of simultaneous users, allowing participants to get awareness about what the general public is saying, or to watch friends’ general remarks while remain on the third-party site. Moreover, user updates are published and also include a URL for your friends so that they can easily participate and can see the event at the original source. Facebook Chat integration had already been implemented by UStream but it’s different from Live Stream Box in a sense that you people can enjoy the benefits on UStream as well as on any other platform.

New privacy controls are now included in the priority list of Facebook that will give members more control over allowing people access i.e. who is exactly allowed to see their private updates within the network. For this purpose members will be allowed to customize posts to different friends groups. This new feature will add the chat options to any video stream and its installation is simple enough. The installation process involves uploading a file to server and then adding a few lines of code. It can be embedded in your Facebook page, a Facebook app and even other sites. But note that the pioneer which got benefit of this chat feature is Ustream. But this feature will only be available on the request of the user. Currently two versions of Ustream are available in the market.
