Now Google is Coming up with Chrome PC Operating System Soon

Google announced to introduce an operating system named as Google Chrome. The basic concept behind that is it will be an open source and lightweight operating system. The main target is netbooks because this OS will be designed for the netbooks. Its code will be available in the second half of this year. The purpose to make it open source is to share the vision with every one by involving them in its development. Multiple OEMs are involved to market netbooks. Google Chrome OS will run on x86 and ARM chips. Because of the fact that ARM chips will market low-cost netbook computers that will be less expensive with long battery life.

Google chrome will be designed in such a way that it supports all web-based applications to work automatically along with that application developers can write new applications using different web technologies. These applications will run on all standard browsers on Windows, Mac and Linux. In fact, this operating system will be for those whose work is based on web all the time like email checking, news updating, shopping, information searching or just contacting with friends.

Some people get confused that Google Chrome is just like Android but it’s not like that. Android was also introduced by Google but that was specially designed for phones whereas Chrome is for netbooks and also for desktops. It is the first time that Google is taking a step a head to enter in the OS development market of PCs therefore in order to promote its OS Google is also interested to offer subsidized netbooks, focus on light OS and software that will be able to work both online and offline and also available mobile versions. As we all know that Google has introduced its chrome browser and now this Chrome Operating system might be an extension to this.

If Google OS able to produce what they are promising then they will capture a huge OS market. This is indeed a tough target for that Google focuses on the following three Ss which are Speed, Security and Simplicity. Just like redesigning of the basic architecture of Google Chrome browser, they are trying to do the same with OS in order to provide ease to their users because with that users will not have to updates the securities, viruses and Malwares. Some people think that Chrome will create problem with Mozilla Foundations that is Firefox. But don’t be worried about that because Google is also working with this organization in this regards.

From the market point of view when we analyzed Google’s strategy we reach on the view that as Microsoft is working on its next operating system Windows 7 and it is trying to overcome the deficiencies of Vista as Vista was failed to get good response from the Microsoft’s users. In these circumstances Google is announcing to launch its OS, therefore it seems that it is a Direct Challenge to Microsoft. But the point is currently a lot of netbooks’ users using windows and it seems that they will not change their OS unless Google will be able to show them a major advancement in its OS because the existing users are already familiar with the working environment of windows. Hence, Google must have to be entered in the market with thorough preparation.
