Google wave is actually a project that was started by Google on May 28, 2009. This project includes designing a web application and computing plate form. Thus Google Wave is such a application that includes email, instant messaging, wiki and social networking all at one place. It also includes some more features like spell checker and translator. That time it was decided to release in 2009.
Now its trail version is ready and being tested by the Google team. Google Wave is a real-time communication platform it means you will have the feeling that you are talking with person as he/she is sitting in front of you. Along with that it includes Embeddability; Applications and Extensions; Wiki functionality; Open source feature; Playback feature; Natural language, Drag-and-drop file sharing and many more. Although these are few feature out of many of actual Google wave. Google is promoting its wave for this Google is registering its wave users in order to give them the chance to become the part of their testing team. The registration process is not complicated. You just need to enter your email address. Only two questions are there that are optional to answer and there is a small message box where you write short message for Google. It is recommended to answer the questions and post a very good message because it will make your application strong. What will be the selection criteria for users? It is not mentioned still.
Google wave is an open source application. It’s a great thing because it allows users to extend it according to their requirements.
